I wish you the best for your Frederick, Militia. My grandfather commanded the Frederick Militia during the Revolutionary War. The British Army had marched into Frederick and seized four justices from the court house and hanged them on the commons. The chief justice was my Grandfather, Thomas Beatty. His son who supervised the town council laid a tax, appointed one brother to manufacture muskets and another brother, my grandfather, to Colonel of the Frederick Militia. They fought with General Washington with a strength of ~1000 men throughout the war. After the war the Continental Congress awarded General Beatty 800 acres in Kentucky. The Beatty’s traveled through the Cumberland gap, claimed the land, and founded Beattyville twenty miles east of Daniel Boonville. We got there first.
